Health and Safety Maintenance at Work
Super Protection will:
Ensure all work environments and premises are safe, healthy, and well maintained.
Conduct thorough risk assessments regularly and implement necessary measures to minimise potential injuries or illnesses.
Clearly communicate risks and safety procedures via detailed risk assessments and assignment briefs.
Provide accessible drinking water, hygienic toilet facilities, and clean rest areas to all employees.
Supply personal protective equipment (PPE) free of charge where health and safety risks cannot be adequately controlled by other means.
Inform and train employees on workplace hazards they may face and how to mitigate them.
Offer training on handling challenging situations such as violence or aggression.
Ensure regular consultation and collaboration with safety representatives to continuously improve workplace safety.
Health and Safety for Our Security Guards
We recognise that security personnel face unique risks, including potential threats, abuse, and assault while on duty. At Super Protection, we actively work to protect our guards and ensure their welfare by providing:
Adequate welfare facilities, including accessible toilets, washing facilities, and drinking water.
Comfortable and warm rest areas, especially where office spaces are not available.
Facilities for hot drinks and food warming when staff cannot leave the premises during shifts.
Ergonomic seating and arrangements to reduce health risks from prolonged standing.
Immediate reporting of any incidents or accidents through our 24-hour control room, with emergency support via the 999 number if required.
Contingency plans and standby facilities on-site to address failures in water, electricity, gas, or sewage systems, especially when these utilities are client responsibilities.
Health and Safety Training
All security staff at Super Protection receive comprehensive health and safety training covering:
Proper handling of incidents involving aggression and violence, including clear reporting procedures.
Preventing vandalism, unauthorized access, and malicious damage by ensuring secure gates, perimeter fencing, and locked storage of equipment and hazardous materials outside operational hours.
Emergency response and fire safety procedures, including fire alarm protocols, exit routes, muster points, and designated fire wardens.
Familiarity with and correct use of emergency fire equipment such as extinguishers, hoses, sandbags, and drain covers.
First aid awareness, including the location of first aid kits on-site, usually in office kitchen areas or other identified locations based on site risk assessments, with regular replenishment monitored by supervisors.
Management and Accountability
Health and safety responsibilities at Super Protection form a key part of our management structure, led by the Managing Director and overseen by the Operations Manager. These duties are embedded within our overall management processes and are entrusted to our most experienced executives to ensure consistent, effective oversight and continuous improvement in safety performance.
