Training & Development Policy
At Super Protection, our people are our greatest asset and the cornerstone of our success. We firmly believe that well-trained, knowledgeable, and highly motivated employees are key to delivering exceptional security services to our clients. That’s why we are deeply committed to nurturing the potential of every team member through a structured and ongoing training and development programme. From the initial induction to continuous on-the-job learning and advanced external qualifications, we strive to equip our staff with the skills, confidence, and support they need to excel in their roles and grow professionally within the organisation. By investing in our people, we ensure a stronger, safer, and more reliable service for everyone we protect.
Equal Opportunities in Training
We ensure that all employees have fair and equal access to training and development, regardless of background or role. Training needs are identified objectively, and resources are allocated to maximise potential and performance.
Induction
Purpose: To help new team members become effective, confident, and safe in their roles as quickly as possible.
Introduction: On joining, each employee receives a structured induction covering company values, workplace layout, team members, catering facilities, and IT systems.
Health & Safety: We explain key safety procedures, emergency protocols, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Role Briefing: Line managers assess individual skills and identify immediate training needs within the first few days, arranging on-the-job or in-house sessions to bridge any gaps.
On-the-Job Training
Purpose: To build practical skills through real-world experience and mentorship.
Employees learn directly from experienced colleagues during day-to-day duties.
Supervisors regularly review progress and provide feedback, ensuring continuous improvement and confidence on site.
In-House Training
Purpose: To introduce new methods, technologies, or compliance requirements.
We organise internal workshops led by qualified trainers whenever new equipment, software, or procedures are implemented.
Topics include advanced security techniques, customer service excellence, conflict de-escalation, and first-aid refreshers.
External Training
Purpose: To develop specialist qualifications and expertise.
Where skills cannot be covered in-house, we sponsor external courses—from half-day seminars to extended certification programs (e.g., SIA licensing, fire marshal, Project Griffin).
Employees enrolling in high-cost courses sign a learning agreement: if they leave within 12 months of completion, they repay a pro-rated share of training costs (1/12th per month).
Ongoing Support & Review
Performance Reviews: Training needs are revisited during regular appraisals, aligning development plans with career ambitions.
Budget Allocation: We dedicate a portion of our annual budget to ensure all identified training can be delivered without delay.
Continuous Improvement: Feedback from participants and line managers informs future training design, keeping our programs relevant and impactful.
By investing in induction, practical learning, structured workshops, and specialised courses, Super Protection ensures every team member has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver the highest standard of security service.
